Karen Waldner
Karen believes in the power of community. She began her journey in volunteer service as a young child, growing up in small-town, southern Saskatchewan. She spent several years volunteering at the local library and hospital. During these integral years, she learned the power of community.
Her career path has allowed her to develop skills in a wide variety of areas including business management, sales, marketing, fitness, nutrition, and has crisscrossed the not-for-profit, charitable, and community sectors. Core to all her work is a passion for people and connection, which was enhanced over the past eleven years, as a local business owner. She believes that positive connections and social support networks improve our world and create a butterfly effect with the potential to improve lives for generations to come.
When Karen’s not playing practical jokes on her co-workers, you’ll find her reading romantic thrillers, watching horror movies, and making special memories with her grandchildren.
“We can all make a difference in the lives of others in need, because it is the most simple of gestures that make the most significant of differences.”
