Cathie’s combined knowledge in business and as a community volunteer has made her the natural leader of operations. In her role, she is called upon to manage DCG through times of transition and growth, focusing on best practice processes, policy development, human resources, finance and general administration.
Cathie’s fundraising focus at DCG is creating fund development programs for a variety of clients. She has been instrumental in overseeing the creation of DCG’s fund development programming. Her vast experience in developing, building and implementing both small- and large-scale annual campaigns has contributed to DCG’s role as a leader in this area. Cathie also lends her expertise to Capital Campaigns, acting as an advisor and mentor for clients and DCG staff. One of Cathie’s greatest strengths is training volunteers, where she applies skills from many years of conducting educational sessions.
Long before DIY was popular, Cathie was a ‘maker’. As a talented creator and lifelong learner, she brings to both her work and hobbies a high level of skill and attention to detail. When she is not busy maintaining the operations of DCG, you will find her delved into a creative project.
